THIS WEEK
Last two weeks we looked at CRO (conversion rate optimization) for phone calls and mailers.
This week I'm sharing a tip that work across ALL dynamics...
When you're writing an email, writing ad copy for your mailer or web page, or even making a phone call, do this first:
Imagine what your prospect or client is feeling in the moment.
That's it.
Walk a mile in their shoes.
Meet your client where they are at, in the moment.
To get even more clear, imagine yourself in their situation.
Literally.
If it's a building owner with an upset tenant complaining about leaks...
You could have a different response or "frame of mind" then versus when you're dealing with a maintenance manager that wants to KEEP his boss's roof from leaking because he's trying to get a raise at the end of the year so his kids can go to college.
Extreme example, I know.
When you write 'copy' for your mailer, imagine for a moment... being the person that gets the tub of mail from the Mail Carrier every day, and then has to sort everything.
Do the same for the person that then gets your mailer.
Should you do anything differently?
How does this apply in sales?
Is there a fancy term for this "idea"?

RESOURCES
About 11 years ago, I set out to build my own spray rig trailer.
Found a new 14' tandem axle trailer and then shopped around for a good roof coating sprayer to put inside, eventually buying one on eBay: a Graco 833 on a steel skid with overhead power reel and gas cans.
It was a beautiful rig, and we sprayed some roofs with it that next year.
Eventually I sold that sprayer to one of our contractors in Reedsville, PA, then going on to 'flip' a bunch of sprayers for a small profit until I ended up stuck with several bad eBay deals :)
Anywho... my first 833 was originally built by CJ Spray.
Back then I had no clue I'd eventually become friends with the folks there and host CJ Spray at the annual Smarter Roofer conference!
If you need any type of spray equipment (or equipment serviced), be sure to contact Joe for fast quotes and support.
They're doing a super good job!
